Job Title – Pre-Sales Consultant Industry – Managed Print Solutions
Location – UK Wide
Salary – £35,000 basic + car allowance
The role of the Pre-Sales consultant:
The Pre-Sales Consultant will be reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will be drive sales through by facilitating solutions/technology/product consulting and sales support via partners, and of course through the sales team.
The overall goal is to successfully position the Managed Print Solution offering into a variety of markets (corporate, public etc). You will also act as a technical conduit between the development team and the sales team, helping to plan and shape the on-going evolution of the company.
Primary responsibilities of the Pre-Sales Consultant will be:
- Takes responsibility for all solutions, components/integrations input to technical design. Responsible for scoping and overseeing, Proof of Concepts and supports as design
- Support pre-qualify sales engagements. Including explaining offerings at a technical level and providing demos as required to support influencing customer.
- Able to articulate the entire technical architecture to a client or partner on both a technical and business level, clearly identifying benefits, risks and cost.
- Business Development - Establishes customer requirements for the technical elements of a service building strong relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Lead the technical due diligence phase
- Supports technical review and updates to Statement-of-Work, Supplier-Statement-of-Work, Contract Schedules and identifies risk and associated mitigation.
Desirable experience of the Pre-Sales consultant:
- A background working within the same / similar industry - Managed Print Solutions / IT etc.
- Recent knowledge of hardware solutions including - Xerox, Canon, HP, Toshiba, Konica Minolta MFD's
- Strong technical background and proven ability to learn new skills and technology efficiently
- Proven good all-round IT knowledge and background inc. but not limited to Networking, Security, User Computing, Cloud and Virtualisation etc.
- Excellent MS Office Skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project
- Proven excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to think outside of the box when solutioning.
- Proven and demonstrable - analytical and methodical approach
- Ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team
- Customer facing with excellent communication skills and proven ability to communicate at all business levels to C-level.
- Knowledge of any of the following technologies: Managed Print Software Solutions, Office Print and Production Print, Print management Solutions (e.g., Kofax Equitrac/Control Suite, YSoft SafeQ) and digitisation technologies
The Package on offer for the Pre-Sales Consultant:
- £35,000 basic salary
- Company car allowance – Equating to £3600 per annum
- 20 days holiday (not including bank holidays)
- £20 per month phone allowance
