Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Technical Director

We are looking for an experienced ECM Technical Director to support our clients UK team.
This role will be to support the technical team and head up and lead their content management and intelligent automation divisions. The Head of / Technical Director will be the technical lead across all projects, implementing and driving best practice and internal initiatives. Supporting revenue where needed around pre-sales activities.
The role will develop deep knowledge of the companies technology solutions from leading ISVs (Kofax, M-Files and others), competition, third-party integrations, and customer industries. It offers significant opportunity to develop technically and professionally.
Responsibilities of the Technical Director will include:-
• Partner with the wider teams, consulting by influencing the architecture alignment with favoured products (M-Files, DVelop, SharePoint and Kofax)
• Integrate with vendor communities, understanding and able to implement best practice
frameworks and accelerators.
• Become the strategic advisor to clients and on the companies ECM platforms (M-Files and DVelop)
• Be able to accurately articulate views through demonstrating capability, being hands on and leading
• Effectively communicate at various levels of our clients (Developer, Solution Architect, CIO, CEO)
• Articulate solution capabilities and value proposition both in a customer specific context as well as a market context (conferences, seminars, etc.)
• Propose customer roadmaps/solution vision plans and corresponding value
• Think beyond traditional measures of finance and understand risk, time, quality and other values
• Work with our presales during discovery to identify customer priorities and pain points
• Create and deliver customer roadmaps, solution visions and corresponding value in well
documented and presented form
• Guide, mentor, and train team members from the extended Solutions Consulting, Customer Success and Sales team to enable them with content and knowledge.
• Support in the development of content such as presentations, demos, white papers, best
practices, solution packs, architecture patterns, and online courses for use by both customers and to enable our extended team.
• Technically lead practice technology projects to ensure success
• Work alongside Business analysts Scope, capture and present back findings to various
stakeholders
• Engage and deliver projects across all products in the portfolio as requested.
The Technical Director should have the following skills:-
• High level experience in enterprise content management, using technologies such as SharePoint, M-files, Hyland , DocuWare etc.
• High level of experience in automation technologies such as Kofax, power automate, Blue prism etc
• An autodidact, constantly self-educating and striving to have the best technical knowledge in your field
• Ideally 10+ years of technical hands-on experience of enterprise level architecture and
applications
• Ideally experienced in collaborating to support high level designs and business analysts to inform solution delivery teams
• Inquisitive on new technologies and passionate about educating and sharing the benefits
• Confident in presenting and communicating with senior customer roles from Director to CIO, CTO and CISO
• A people person and collaborator who understands the power of listening
• Highly organised and able to work in a close team environment
• Fluent English, strong written and verbal communication skills and a strong presenter
• High knowledge of SaaS, infrastructure, network, authentication, security and collaboration technologies.
• Understanding of and experience with the entire sales cycle including pre-sales, deployment, customer success and retention is preferred
• Technical experience working with Web-Services/APIs and high Level SQL query skills
• Demonstrated technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• A strong focus on providing great service to clients and partners
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with Clients and partners and has excellent attention to detail
• Can work both as part of a team but also independently and is self-sufficient
