A key client of ours has tasked us with helping them to find an experienced Business Development Manager / Sales Consultant / Field Sales Manager for their security solutions division. They are an established provider of security screening and detection technology is expanding its UK commercial team. Supplying a wide range of advanced solutions including X ray inspection systems walk through and handheld detection equipment the business supports organisations operating in high risk and regulated environments such as events transport logistics border operations and secure facilities nationwide.
Part of a larger well resourced technology group the company has experienced sustained growth over recent years and is now investing further in its security division. This newly created role offers the opportunity to play a key part in driving continued expansion across the UK market.
Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:
In this position you will be responsible for developing new revenue streams and strengthening market presence. Your duties will include:
• Identifying pursuing and securing new business opportunities within sectors requiring security screening solutions
• Building long term relationships with senior decision makers security managers and operational leaders
• Presenting tailored proposals and delivering product demonstrations aligned to customer needs
• Collaborating with engineering service and delivery teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing client satisfaction
• Monitoring market activity customer requirements and competitor movements to support strategic growth
• Expanding revenue within an existing customer base through upselling and cross selling opportunities
• Achieving agreed sales targets while contributing to broader commercial planning
The successful Business Development Manager will bring:
• A track record of B2B sales success ideally within technical security or solution led environments
• A consultative value driven approach to selling
• Confident communication presentation and negotiation skills
• The motivation to independently develop and grow a territory
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings when required
