Company Overview
Our client is a leading supplier of enterprise level Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) to the NHS. Who have been an innovator in the EDMS sector for over 20 years and has a loyal customer base, including 25 NHS Trusts.
The company is private equity owned and with the support of its investors has recently released a true cloud-based Software-as-a-Service EDMS platform.
The move to SaaS based products has opened up a number of new revenue opportunities for them and so the company is looking to hire a proven New Business focused Business Development Manager to build a new business pipeline and secure new logos within the healthcare sector.
As well as the expansion of the company’s EDMS business, they also have short term plans to grow revenues via additional software product lines, further expanding the portfolio of products that can be sold to new customers within the healthcare sector.
Business Development Manager Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successfully managing the entire sales cycle within a B2B environment. This role requires expertise in lead generation, solution selling, and closing deals. The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, in a B2B sales environment.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Identify and qualify prospects, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
- Utilise strong analytical skills to assess potential opportunities and develop tailored solutions.
- Effectively communicate the benefits and return on investment (ROI) of company solutions to potential clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including executives up to the C-suite level.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and services.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.
Experience and Skills of the Business Development Manager:
- Proven track record of success in managing the entire sales cycle within a B2B sales environment.
- Ideally a background having sold EDMS, Document Management Solutions, Scanning, ECM etc.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.
- Experience selling to public sector organisations is desirable.
